Thank you for your query! Yes, it is fine to place our Custom Printed Cake Toppers directly on butter cream. This works very well, since the slight moisture helps the sheet adhere.
However, this is not true if instead of Custom Printed Cake Toppers (made of Frosting/Icing sheets), you use Wafer paper / sheets. While this is still a viable option, moisture from the butter cream can cause wafer paper to soften, curl, or wrinkle. In this scenario, it is better that you apply custom printed Wafer paper / sheets on a relatively dry/crusted butter cream.
